Bakayoko shines and fulfills PSV promises in FC Eindhoven’s mini-derby

FC Eindhoven suffered a very painful loss at the kitchen championship. The third number, who is still fighting for direct access to the ranks of Eredivisie, got the pants for the PSV promises “mini-Lichtstadderby”: 1-3.

FC Eindhoven – Young PSV 1-3
The number two of the Chef’s Division will be promoted directly to Eredivisie. With FC Eindhoven in third place and four points behind Volendam in second place, there is still a chance for a nice venue and coach Rob Penders was all set to exceed PSV’s promises.

There were opportunities for that, but since they were not used, the score remained 0: 0. The replacement of Johan Bakayoko on the PSV side changed that. The young Belgian got it right in the hip, immediately aimed two long throws in the top corner (0: 1 and 0: 2) and also gave a productive pass to Jenson Seelt 0: 3. FC Eindhoven got the ball back with Joey Sleegers, but it didn’t get any further and Volendam got it safe.

MVV – Excelsior 1-1
Excelsior is in fourth place in the rankings and still had a minimal chance of rising immediately, but lost it in Maastricht. Despite a free kick in a decent position 1 minutes in, Re Remem Niemeijer tried a variation that brought the ball through to the other end of the penalty area.

Other results:
VVV Venlo – Telstar 3-2
Roda JC – Helmond Sport 5-3
Noor AZ – ADO The Hague 0: 1
De Graafschap – TOP Oss 1-2
