English tabloids eager: Ten Hag wants Bergwijn and directs Ronaldo to the exit

Erik ten The assignment to Manchester United is not yet official, but British tabloids are already speculating on the composition of his choice at Old Trafford. Mention is made of Steven Bergwijn and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ten Hag reached an oral agreement with Manchester United this week, which has sparked major speculation in the UK. According to The Daily Mail, Bergwijn is one of the names on the current Ajax coach list. Ten Hag would like to take over from Tottenham Hotspur if several attempts with Ajax failed.

Bergwijn seemed to be doing well in Amsterdam in January, but a series of encouraging performances, including two late goals against Leicester City (3: 2), hit Ajax. Since then, Orange’s national team member Tottenham has only kicked off once in Hotspur. Heung-Min Son, Harry Kane and newcomer Dejan Kulusevski are preferred.

In addition, the tabloids The Daily Star say they know Ronaldo will not appear in Ten Action’s plans. The Portuguese superstar (37) can expect a new club despite the ongoing contract. “Due to his age and star status, Ten Hag doesn’t consider him suitable for playing,” he says. Ronaldo has scored four times in the last thirteen games.

Who will be able to attract and sell Ten Hagi depends in part on the performance of interim manager Ralf Rangnick in the final phase of the Premier League season, as the Champions League is much more profitable than the European League and Conference League.
