Ten Hagi has an Ajax duo back and on Onana he is clear: “Yes, he is still an Ajax player”

Erik ten Hag did not want to confirm Andre Onana’s advance in the PSV and Ajax Cup Finals. Ajax’s goalkeeper is under attack due to poor performance and attitude after the match against Sparta.

Various media outlets announced on Thursday that the cup final would not be held by Onana, but by Maarten Stekelenburg. “Is Onana still an Ajax player? Yes, for sure. I’ll be the first to let me know,” Ten Hag replies. “You see on Sunday. He’s not in his best shape. The things we discuss are kept private and not discussed with anyone.”

The question is whether Ten Hag will also include Mohamed Ihattaren in the selection of the cup final. The midfielder is getting better and better, but Ten Hagi says he is not there yet. “He’s progressing, getting more powerful and more formal. His attitude is also improving. Hopefully he’ll be able to continue on that path. It’s still a very long way to go, but it’s an incredible talent. Is he in choice? Players will hear it. Like the first one.”

Ten Hag claims that Noussair Mazraoui and Lisandro Martínez can play against PSV. “They’re available. Nicolas Tagliafico isn’t there yet, he hasn’t trained with the group yet. I hope he’ll take that step.”
